FAQsWhat can I expect?
You can expect your flexibility to return and posture to improve. Don’t forget: Posture determines how well your body functions.
At your initial consultation, we will discuss past injuries and illness and anything else you think is relevant to your current health. I do a thorough examination to assess how well your body is functioning physically. This takes an hour. The second appointment is called the ‘Report of Findings’ and this is when I explain thoroughly what I found during the initial examination and how it relates to your current and future health. Most importantly, I will explain exactly how I will help you. I will give you a plan of action which, in time, will include simple exercises and lots of advice about your posture habits. I have a keen personal interest in nutrition and I am always happy to advise you in this area too. Do the adjustments hurt?
No. Some of the techniques used in ABC can feel momentarily awkward or uncomfortable, but not painful. If you are in pain when you arrive for an appointment I am mindful to be gentle. I always explain exactly what I’m doing to fix your body, so you can relax and know what to expect.
will i see quick results?
Yes. Most clients notice a change in their posture, pain levels, range of movement or breathing within 1-3 adjustments. The level of change your body goes through is determined by how long it takes your body to ‘unwind’.
how will i know if you can help me?
Try this. Stand in front of a mirror so you can watch what happens to you body when you breathe. Breathe in, breathe out and then let your body relax and slump (without forcing a slump). Do your shoulders roll forward? Does your centre of gravity shift in any direction? Is your breath shallow? Does your breath feel tight? Does your head sit in front of your shoulders? Does your body fold forward or collapse? Does your chin move forward and wobble? Is it difficult to take a deep breath in? Does your breath go in and/or out in a number of stages?
If you answered ‘YES’ to any of these questions, you will notice improvements from ABC. If you do not, I will tell you very quickly how and why I’m not able to help you. I may then recommend other practitioners to you. do you adjust babies and small children?
Absolutely! If we’d all had the opportunity to get birth trauma and childhood accident stressors fixed with ABCTM as quickly as possible, we’d all be a lot more healthy and comfortable as adults. Most children and babies enjoy getting adjusted too. I make it fun for them and they benefit greatly.
how long does it take?
Your first 2 visits are extended consultations, taking around 1 hour for the 1st and 45 minutes for the second. From there on in, I allow 20 minutes for regular adjustment appointments.
If we find we need more time then I simply allocate a longer session. |
